Does Not Work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installed the plugin as suggested
2. Edited the functions file as per instructed
3. Doesn't work

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No changes. yourls.com/MyLink does not redirect to yourls.com/mylink
Similarly, when creating a link with capital letters, the capital letters are 
being stripped off. So nothing has changed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.6 version
