Very specifically it would be nice if it at a mininum handled text/html, text/plain and application/json.
For the json response it could be as simple as just returning { "msg": :"request caught" }
If you wanted to support an xml response it could be similarly simple.
I ran into this issue testing some code that was throwing an exception because it specifically wants a certain response payload type.
Maybe this is already possible by some other url parameter and I didn't realize it.
