The Problem.

I use Jellyfin on shuffle a lot with a tv series that has so many episodes, it's like my confort series. I often use it as background so a lot of the times I leave mid episode. This results in a lot of episodes on the continue watching section, I don't like them there and the only solution right now is to open the episodes one by one and fast forward to the end.

The Solution.

I would like a button to quickly set the episode or movie in the continue watching section to set it as watched and immediately make it go away from that section.

Something about me

I'm a software engineer student and I would love to contribute to open source projects, this is my first issue opened so I'm sorry if I did something wrong!
I'm looking forward to know fellow devs and work with you, on this issue, and on many more to come :)

I believe the feature you're looking for is actually already built into Jellyfin (for as long as I can remember).

If you mouse over the "Continue Watching" thumbnail, there's a check mark that is labeled "Mark played". Click that and the episode should disappear off your continue watching list after you refresh the page. Confirmed this works in jellyfin-web plus jellyfin-media-player just now:
