I've been kicking the app around as soon as I saw the announcement and I have some suggestions:

  • It's not immediately obvious how to navigate from the username field to the password field. It would be better if pressing start would move the cursor to the passsword field.
  • Completing the login lands you on the settings page, not the home page. If you press B in that case, you land back on the login form with the user name erased, but the password still filled in.
  • On the home page, the hamburger menu doesn't work. When activated, the screen just dims a little
  • While I agree that this is better than nothing, and I think using the web wrapper for navigation and settings, I would like to see native UI for both login and the media player (so we can use the Xbox's built in media player). UWP MediaPlayer SDK documentation
