Elastalert MetaData Index Issue

Hi team I m using this setup in production elasticsearch cluster in which there is TB of logs, so i have seen that my elastalert index for elastalertmeta data grows up to 2GB in 7days? what solution you can suggest for this and i use ILM for this index will it be good choice to use? and also if we frequently delete this index will there will be anyproblem to my elastalert performance and alerts? and is there anyother db we can store these metadata for elastalert?
