Dear Julien Etelain
I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to you today to ask a question about GameRealisticMap Studio. I am interested in using the tool to create maps for Arma 3, but I have a question about the use of mirrors.

Is it possible to use a mirror of the OpenStreetMap server instead of the main server? I have read that the tool is designed to work with local OpenStreetMap data, but I am not sure if this means that it is only possible to use the main server.

I would appreciate any information you can provide on this topic.

Hi,

GameRealisticMap Studio uses Overpass API, with a small evolution it could be possible to use an Overpass mirror. There is no setting to change the URI yet, but you could recompile from source meanwhile. The endpoint is set here : https://github.com/jetelain/ArmaRealMap/blob/cbbb009d2996dd9fe2eac9a835fcb24be394fc03/GameRealisticMap/Osm/OsmDataOverPassLoader.cs#L76C1-L76C69

An other evolution could be to read raw OSM data from an user provided file (osm xml format).

An other suggestion was to support OSC files #212 but this seems a more complex evolution.
