This works:

new barrett::ProductManager(NULL, new barrett::bus::BusManager(bus_id)));

This compiles, runs, but results in the error below when you try to read/write:

new barrett::ProductManager(NULL, new barrett::bus::CANSocket(bus_id))); 
CommunicationsBus::receive: Received unexpected message from busId=1123 while expecting a message from busId=1059.
