it would be great if one can install PHP 7, too, using this module.

I actually see a php 7 branch open here, however, if the repo owner is interested, I already have a php7 version working provided the package is available to the system (through default, ppa, etc). I tested it with ppa:ondrej/php (ubuntu 14.04) and Ubuntu 16.04 and it worked just fine.

I like it - i just did the php7 branch quick and dirty to test my debian wheezy version of dotdeb php7.0

Would be great if we could include this as a flag in the latest master version. I would be willing to test this out on my local configuration. Main issue for me is that we still use php5(.6) on lots of servers. So switching to a php7 only module isn't an option at the moment.

Like that?

I could rebase that branch and open up a PR, if owner interested.

I've since switched to using ansible but I'm always happy to make contributions
