[Feature Request] Option to show external app links e.g., zotero://xxxx link

I have not found a way to show external outgoing links to other apps such as zotero://, onenote://, or outlook://. Currently, the plugin only works if the links is starting with https:// (or https://). Would it be possible to include this functionality? Thanks :)
