Datepicker doesn't clear model when dates are changed

As seen in the live demo:

• Pick a date and clear the field
• The value remains the same
  if you pick a date, and clear it from the input field, the value of the datepicker remains unaltered

Thanks for reporting. Actually I don't plan to develop this component any further because of a ng2-datepicker, which is a rewritten datepicker for Angular2.
If you would like develop it further I can add you as member.
