Right now, there are contributors who are offering dropbox links to hpi builds (see: #3) -- nothing against them -- but I'd rather have a build from JenkinsCI and there a few commits (2 years worth) on master that would be very useful for this plugin.

May we please get a new plugin release? 🎱

Sorry for the lack of attention. The original author of this repo appointed a bunch of new maintainers (me included) a while back and we haven't done any better of a job and maintaining the project. We suck.

I don't have the time now either. Before taking patches or a cutting a release, I'd like to have a minimal testing environment where I could be sure the code I'm about to merge at least compiles and does what it says. Is someone else willing to take the lead on this?

If https://github.com/jenkinsci/hipchat-plugin/commits/hipchat-0.1.5 is to be believed, it looks as though a new version either has been released or is very close to release. Any news on this?

So, it appears that this was recently released, as it's now being reflected in the Jenkins plugin repos. I've upgraded my team's Jenkins. Few things worth noting:

  • You must add "HipChat Notifications" as a post-build step to all projects using the plugin. This was a footnote on the Jenkins plugins wiki, and took me an hour or so to track down. Would be nice if it were more obvious.
  • The jenkinsUrl variable name has been changed to better reflect integration with CIs that aren't named Jenkins I guess. It's now buildServerUrl or something. You'll get a warning in Jenkins about this, and it's probably safe to just clear the old entry and put in the new entry.
  • The new version introduces a few new notif toggles, including those reflecting build stability, which is pretty cool.

Thanks to whoever put this release together!
