Welcome

Welcome to the MMHelper wiki section.

MMHelper provides an automated framework to detect, track, and analyse bacteria in a Microfluidic "Mother Machine" setup and is suitable for use on images acquired in either bright field or phase contrast (as well as any accompanying fluorescent images).

Installation Guide

There are multiple options for installing MMHelper. Follow our easy to use installation guide by clicking here

Running MMHelper

MMHelper can be run using the Graphical user interface (recommended for new users) or from the command line (advanced users). Follow the links below for the respective guides for each:

  • [Run using Graphical user interface (GUI)](Running the GUI)
  • [Run using command line](Running from command line)

Understanding the results

MMhelper outputs images in which each individually detected bacteria has a unique label. The measurements for each bacteria can be found in an accompanying "results.csv" file. More information on the results can be found here
