Nexus 5 (4.4.4) freezes during live view (0.30.33)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Connect D7000 with OTG to Nexus 5 32GB running Kitkat 4.4.4
2.Open DSLR Dashboard 0.30.33, hit LV button. DLSR Dashboard then freezes. The 
camera's mirror moves and there is sometimes a frozen image on the phone. After 
about 10 seconds it will then unfreeze, but then freeze again straight away 
with another frozen image on the screen.
3. Also note that the camera and AF icons on the left hand side are red.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Also cannot take single photos, or take timelapse

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Nexus 5 32GB Kitkat 4.4.4
DLSR Dashboard 0.30.33 downloaded from the play store
