The direct HTTP support is not fully supported yet. But we're excited for that because it'll allow you to use S3 or other static file servers as peers.
Can this static file server happen now? I wrestle with the whole peer pinning issue for when I go offline. If we could pin a dat on a static file server that would be easier than spinning up a digital ocean server to keep dats online. Just curious what you thoughts are on this now (2 years after that post).
