Same issue here. My PSP is ancient and the battery is long gone and it crashes the whole thing when i try this program. |
Looks like the issue still persists. In the meantime, we should be using v3.30 for now, anything v4 and up seems to be problematic without a battery inserted - which IMHO needs to be rectified because a lot of PSPs out there have dead internal batteries that renders using any battery packs useless (can't power it, can't charge it, etc.). |
Unfortunately cmfilemanager-psp doesn't run with the latest toolchain. I'll need to investigate and figure out what's causing the issue with the current toolchain. I already had pushed a commit that should have addressed this but until I'm able to run it with the current toolchain, I won't be able to publish a hotfix. |
Hello, It also crash when the battery is remove while charging. Does it always check for the battery and when the battery is not found it doesnt know what to do? |
Sorry for taking so long with this but with this release, this can be closed: https://github.com/joel16/CMFileManager-PSP/releases/tag/v4.11 |
@joel16 at this point I don't care if 10 years have passed, I'm just glad you're still developing for the PSP haha, thanks for the update :) Edit: Seems like you forgot to edit the version under "About" and in the homebrew's XMB name to 4.11 btw. PS: I see a fellow Naruto fan :P |
Hey, by chance are you using the PSP GO M2 version? I noticed I forgot to update the launcher's version but the other one does say 4.11. FYI I have re-uploaded the PSP GO M2 version with the fix. Also yes Naruto is goated :) |
I used the normal version, not the GO one, but will try again later just in case. |
Just tried the CMFileManager-PSP.zip file and it does show as 4.10 in the XMB name and as 4.1.0 in the About section in the program. I can edit the XMB name myself using PSP Brew but not the About section @joel16. |
Opps I think I made a colossal screw up. I beleive the old 4.10 release was uploaded instead of the new one. I have fixed both the PSP GO M2 and original release. They went from 1.7x mb to 2 MB+. Please re-install and apologies for the inconvience. |
Yep, all good now - thanks again ;) |
Hello again,
Last week we bought a PSP 2004 for a friend and it came without a battery. The problem is that when we try to launch the CM File Manager it crashes the app (and the PSP) and the culprit is the lack of battery inside as the other few apps that also crashed also had a battery indicator in them.
Would it be possible to fix this so that it checks for a battery (I know this sounds funny lol) and if not found it simply wouldn't display the indicator thus preventing the crash?
