Does the project use any online services?

Hello,

I would like to use paperless-ng privately for all my documents. Among them will be very sensitive documents from banks or doctors. I do not want to give these documents to an online service for processing.

So I am wondering if the project paperless-ng uses any online services to provide functionalities like OCR etc..

Used online services would exclude the use of the software for me.

It would be nice if someone could make an authoritative statement on this.
