I cannot add department member

I am logged in.
I can click add to add member, I can search for a profile.
But I cannot select a position.

Unfortunately this only occurs on the live site. This repository is for the Joomla 4/5 version of the Volunteer Portal. I have tested the functionality and it works here.
Taggging @roland-d - it looks like the member view/edit page is not correctly showing the drop down list of positions.
