[Bug]: menubar icons disappear when active app menus extend to the right

Description

when i have an app with menu items that extend to the right (microsoft powerpoint on a 14" macbook pro) the tailend of the menubar icons disappear, but if you open the hidden section they're not there. check screens

Steps to Reproduce

open an app with menu items that extend to right side of notch
see the menubar icons disappear
