Do you have any idea why a clean install of macvim and clean setup following your instructions would not result in cmd+shift+e opening the current file in nerdtree? It just does the default E command instead. Thanks in advance.

Same problem here.

@Robert-M-Muench I don't use vimbox anymore, but I think I figured out that there is another key binding for it. You should be able to find it if you dig through the source.

I am working on a much much better organization and customization of VimBox so I've been a little quiet. Thanks for understanding. It will make it far easier for everyone to customize their vim config just by running :Settings and adding/adjusting the keyboard bindings there.
you can see the WIP here:
https://github.com/jordwalke/VimBox/tree/WIP

I've been working on it for over six months I think.

Other features are:

  • xdg compliant locations.
  • Totally isolated from your normal vim installation.
    • Just drag VimBox.app to your applications folder and it will perform its own clone of VimBox internally. Run :Locations to see where everything is located.
  • Windows support for gvim.
  • Json based config like vscode.
  • so much more.

Feel free to play with it but it's never been tested by anyone else but me.

I'd like to add out-of-the-box lsp support as well.
