Does EC think that Jupyter could benefit from applying for GitHub Secure Open Source Fund? Were there any discussions? The deadline is January 7th. Briefly, it is focused on addressing security debt; the funds are distributed via GitHub Sponsors.

Or should individual sub-projects apply?

Hello, thanks for sharing - the EC had not discussed applying to this grant. I can bring this up in our next meeting (next Tuesday). Have you spoken to the folks on the security subproject, perhaps this has already been discussed in that team? https://github.com/jupyter/security
