Description

Hello!
I would like the option to disable controller support.

I am using an input remapper called JoyShockMapper to remap my controller inputs and controller's gyroscope to keyboard and mouse, and I would prefer to turn off Kando's controller support in order to prevent conflicts.

Namely, Kando closes when I press in the right stick, which is extremely annoying as that is the button I use to enable the DualSense 5 and Switch Pro's gyroscope to use the mouse. Other conflicts with controller remappers like ReWASD and Steam Input would also be solved by making this an optional feature, even if it is just in the JSON file.

Thankyou for your consideration!

Affected Desktop Environments

All, Linux

Additional Information

I am on Linux with KDE/Wayland, but I believe this feature would be helpful for users on Windows and MacOS as well. It is also useful to debug a crash I recently found.

Hi there! Thanks for the suggestion, this should be possible. In the meantime, do you know that you can map some of the buttons in Kando? In the menuOptions config section, you can set the gamepadBackButton and the gamepadCloseButton.
