https://www.cypress.io/ would be really cool to have for automated testing, maybe now isn't the time really implement but maybe a testing branch with some research into the implementation would be great!

I haven't seen that this issue has almost a year open.
I will PR a basic template to start using cypress and a basic test.
We can define and implement other scenarios later.
