This post's aim is to summarize some of this year's announcements on Slack which is now going to be archived on GitHub.
Both excitation and detection fibers included in Zong et al. Cell 2022 have been updated due to product discontinuation, as follows:
HC-920-PM new excitation fiber: K50-060-71, and dispersion 90 ps/km/nm (please confirm with NKT photonics)
In Nature Methods 2017,2021 and Cell 2022: HC-920 had dispersion 75 ps/km/nm - product K50-060-70.
Detection fiber: as SCHOTT has discontinued supplying the TFB, an alternative solution was found by assembling a fiber bundle with anti-reflection coating glass, GRIN lens, a 0.7mm thin fiber and a holder. This item has been named GFB and its assembly protocol can be found here
As that, an updated Shopping List is provided including the new products (items 30 and 31).
Moreover, an alternative shopping list for a new 920nm Femtosecond laser with coupled fiber ('Plug & Play solution', item 129) is available, where close to 30 items were removed. On the other hand, important components as finished and assembled products (e.g. items 126-128).
