for some reason we have a bias against getting positive feedback from readers, i.e. what they like about our docs. i think it comes from a "i can't do anything with positive feedback" mentality that some c-suiters promote. which may be true, and i get where they're coming from. but some technical writers i've talked to have told me that their managers only see negative feedback 24/7, so they think the docs are terrible. i think this is largely due to the bias against soliciting positive feedback. you see it all over in "was this page helpful?" prompts across the web...
