After huge winter storm in Texas I am still not able to access https://smartmetertexas.com/api/user/authenticate and getting connection reset error. I tried adding www in the URL but in that case I get permission error.
Thanks

having the same issue, it looks like they may have instituted additional security requirements.

not sure if this is new but looks like there is an additional requirement to have a static IP registered with them

"in order to utilize the APIs you must provide 1) a Static IP Address and 2) a Signed Digital Certificate issued by a certificate authority and associated with the SMT registered company name"

would love to know if anyone has solved this yet, will try and work through my self and post if any progress

My curl scripts to the unofficial API stopped working as well.

That has always been the case for their "official" API. I documented the process here:

I wonder for anyone trying to subscribe to API after logging to their website https://www.smartmetertexas.com/home worked? I keep getting error "API integration not done". I have never sent them any email or anything as @mrand mentioned in his GitHub page thought as I don't want to keep requesting every 3 months to update my certificate or on change of non-static public IP.

I get the same, I have not done the official API setup process yet either.

Yay! It started working and I am getting response/data back now.
I did keep checking daily by making at least once request to see it gives response and today I got data and all good.
I was using Visual Studio (.rest) and/or Postman to see the response.
So if you guys have shutdown your app then you may want to bring that up again!

I have started getting error 104 since Nov 12, 2022.
Anyone has it still working and not seen similar error?

error code: 104
error string: Connection reset by peer

Thanks

No need for more "me too" responses - it's broken for everyone.

It looks like Akamai now requires a cookie, which is technically possible to scrape.
