I have a file of size 232830522671 bytes, that is 232GB.
When I try jshon -d sometag < large_file.json, it fails with
jshon -d sometag < large_file.json
error: failed to allocate 232830522672 bytes error: failed to read input
When i try cat large_file.json | jshon -d something cat fails writing to the pipe:
cat large_file.json | jshon -d something
cat: write error: Broken pipe

How much memory does your computer have? As I recall it, jshon buffers the whole file in memory before parsing it.
