Did anyone manage to get this working with V2 sensors? Thx!

Thx! Can you elaborate? Here is what I've done:

  • installed the integration through HACS,

  • added binary sensor to the configuration.yaml (w/ device: auto)

  • plugged the wyze home monitoring hub into my raspberry pi

  • tried to use wyzesense.scan service under developer tools but I don't have any wyzesense service in the list to call. :(

  • do I need to have the v1 hub to make this integration work or should the v2 hub work? https://www.wyze.com/pages/home-security-monitoring-system

this integration requires the wyze v1 hub to be plugged into the usb port of the device/vm running home assistant (not the wyze camera). if you want, the cameras can be added to home assistant via the mjpeg camera integration using the tinycam api running on an android device (such as an unused tablet mounted to the wall as a control panel).

As Daniel said, you need the version 1 hub. I read your message above about using version 2 sensors. They work as long as you have the version 1 hub. You may want to move to another "system" as no one as yet has gotten the version 2 hub to work.

Zigbee is fully supported and will be built into the new PI Yellow being developed by the HA developers. You can get a Sonoff USB devices that works well and is cheap. Many companies support this protocol.
