I make my fixed layout epubs using InDesign (preparation, export) + Sigil (finish and clean up) for years, and until the last updates of Kobo app on iPad, as long as I keep the viewport and the image resolutions correct, Kobo app did read it perfectly. But the lasts month's updates simply broke it somehow. Now, if I keep the real text on the epub, I always get white borders on the exhibition...
I made tests removing the text divs and the book show up correctly on the app. Is there something that I could make to keep the real text using InDesign to export and yet make the app recognize right, without the white borders? I don't like the idea of fuse all the text as image... and in all other platforms, the way I do works perfectly (even in Kobo it worked well before the last updates...)
These are test epubs that I made, one with real text (and the infamous white borders) and other with the text removed.
Hi @wareid ! Thanks for the fast answer =)
If I have to guess the version, looking at the last modified date of the works I finished and tested, I would say, version 9.26 or 9.27, maybe. I tested a book in august, 30th and it worked well.

Without the text
Sorry if something is not clear... as you can notice, English is not my first language =)
