Footnote Popup: Allow at Least Minimal Formatting

I'm reading a book that has complex footnotes. Some of the footnotes are actual poems with formatting. Apparently, they qualify for the footnote popup window, so up they come in that popup and are entirely unreadable. As far as I can tell, the popup window doesn't handle ANY kind of formatting. The text is just dumped into it without even paragraph marks (or br marks) for basic formatting like line-spacing. Please have that popup window support at least basic formatting. Sure, I'd like it to be full-fledged viewer window. But, for now, just being able to handle basic line-spacing would help.
