I know you're aware of the project, but has anyone successfully combined your operator (with Cruise Control, yay!) with the Yolean/kubernetes-kafka base? There's a bit of a disconnect, but I would ideally like the benefits of both.

There is some desire over there in Yolean/kubernetes-kafka#100

I am aware of the great work! solsson over there.

Initially, there was quite a gap between the Operator and Solsson work. While the Operator focussed on automatic creation and management of kafka, his work was focussed on "manual" creation of kafka. Now they are working to integrate management tools and therefore closing the gap. (A bit simplified)

While the Idea of working ontop/over is a good Idea, iam currently unsure of how to do that. I will leave that Issue Open to have a reminder.
