Using S3 as object storage, is it possible for the ml-pipeline-ui to serve artifacts directly from S3?

In the default mode, the ml-pipeline-ui proxies artifact requests to S3. This is un-needed traffic to the UI service. S3 has an option to get a presigned URL, so the UI can fetch artifacts directly from S3. Does the pipeline UI supports this, and if yes, how?
