This release has a few important changes:

• The cache directory is now configurable and defaults to your user home directory. Existing cache folders can be preserved by moving existing cache files into this new folder using standard filesystem management tools.
• Lots more checks and bug fixes around scenery setup
• A stats page and flight map is available via your web browser. Point to port 5000 from wherever you run XPlane. (So http://localhost:5000 if running XPlane locally)
• New configuration options are available
• New sceneries are now supported. South America has been added but Asia and Africa will be available soon.

Is it possible to optimise the CPU usage in this, im on a Ryzen 5 5600X and it it will sometimes shoot up in usage at cruise and cause major fram drops.

CPU usage should be pretty well optimized. This uses a compressor built with ISPC and with AVX extensions. Probably not a lot of more room on that front.

When you are getting close to a DSF boundary, XPlane is attempting to pull in many many tiles at the same time, which leads to spikes. Bing is the default for the maps I've generated. Imagery source shouldn't make any different for CPU processing.

You could try setting the compressor type in the config file to STB instead of ISPC and see if that makes a difference, but likely that will just be worse.

You should leave all the port options in XPlane as default.

As far as seeing the stats/map page it will be wherever you run XPlane from at port 5000. So it looks like in your case you could try 'http://192.168.1.31:5000' from your web browser of choice.
