  • Who is the book for?
  • What does the reader need to know before reading it, and where should they learn that? (for instance you don't explain what Linux or a command line is yet; it is probably out of this book's scope to re-explain them but a true beginner will not already know these things and should be pointed to a useful resource)
  • Is the reader expected to go from start to end, or is jumping around ok?
  • What tasks will the book help the reader learn to accomplish? (equally important, this would show what tasks are out of scope for the book)
  • How is this book meant to differ from similar enumerations of Linux commands and how to use them, such as the man pages and OpsSchool (http://www.opsschool.org/en/latest/introduction.html) ?

Also, it would be good to know what is the license of the content. 😉
