You might have notice that this repository is no longer maintained.
So come over to PowerToys Run, which is officially developed by Microsoft. Share your experience with them so that PowerToys Run becomes even better than Switcheroo.

I'm using Switcheroo because it's very good ALT+Tab replacement. Original Windows task switcher has a lot of bugs (introduced in Windows 10) which makes standard ALT+Tab useless (and annoying when it isn't switching to proper window). I don't see fast ALT+Tab switching capabilities in Power Toys Run - please correct me if I am wrong.

I do believe it has something similar based on WindowWalker. However I found that PowerToys run does too much. I just need a dedicated fast alt tab replacement with fuzzy search for when I am not just quickly switching between the two most recent applications.

In PowerToys Run, you can assign a shortcut to the Window Navigation plug-in, e.g. a dot. (Don't know the exact English names, my PowerToys installation is in German.) Then enter ".outlook" for example to get only open Outlook windows.

Or you can disable all other plug-ins and save typing the extra dot.

But I'd prefer to keep some other plug-ins in PowerToys Run enabled and continue using Switcheroo for window switching.

Many users like me would prefer windows walker as a separate feature rather than mixed with all the rest as in Powertoys Run. Also, Powertoys Run, even with selecting only this feature (by disabling others, which I don't like, or via the direct activation command "<") doesn't show us the complete list of windows. I would probably suggest there that the plugin can be developed both as a separate toy and as a plugin for Powertoys Run and be an end-user choice.

I have a autohotkey script always running in the background with some extra shortcuts, one of them is Win+W to open powertoys run, clear its contents and insert a "< " default for the window crawler.
