I use Alt+Tab a lot, and generally have quite a few tasks running concurrently. I switch tasks probably every few seconds in my job.
I have started using Switcheroo recently after Microsoft removed the option for the task-switcher to display only icons (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AltTabSettings=1) instead of previews. (I think that they removed this icon-only support as part of their recent development to include Edge tabs in the windows task switcher).
I like the old icon-only view because, in my mind, I know that I want to switch to application X - I don't necessarily remember what exactly was on the screen the last time I was there, but I do know and easily recognize the icons of the various applications - call it muscle/eye memory. I don't have to stop and temporarily change my train of thought to interpret what is on the screen. (Maybe I'm getting old :-P ). Switcheroo gives back some of the simplicity I know so well, and yearn for. Thank you.
With the standard windows task switcher, I will typically press Alt+Tab, Tab, Tab, Tab ... etc to get to the task I need. If there are many, I sometimes overshoot by one or two. I am in the habit then (while still holding Alt) of pressing the Shift+Tab key, to go back one (or two, as the case may be). And then release the Alt key, do what I need in this task, and so on.
So... to cut a long story short... adding support for the following two features would be wonderful for me:
1) Add support for Alt+Shift+Tab 2) Add option to display a horizontal icon-only view, similar to the classic pre-Aero/Vista task switcher

I renamed this item from "Please add support for Alt+Shift+Tab, and an Icon-only view" to "Please add support for an Icon-only view".
Also, my icon-only request is related to item #155

changed the title
Please add support for Alt+Shift+Tab, and an Icon-only view
