Timing of new Data

I have been running the previous model and the latest update along side each other.
I did tweak a few points of data but of course did it equally to both models. At least for me, it seems the former is still leading with an average 8-10 % better accuracy. I'm curious if you have considered the timing of when new season data should be entered, and if any, what effect it might have if it's entered before enough is gathered? I'm really just exploring different ideas. The project is great BTW! Amazing job!
