Have just a single curve icon, and when hovering it, it will show a preview of how the lines will turn into curves. If it is not the desired variation, using mousewheel while hovering will swap to alternative ways of transforming the polyline into a curve.
This would allow to add more curve transform variations, for example "all inwards", which would turn a square or a diamond into a simple circle, which is hard to do currently, a way I discovered is to draw each of the four lines of a diamond separately and use the both curve buttons in an alternating way on these.
UI-wise, all variations could stay separate buttons like it is now, but the hover preview would help understanding what is going to happen.

[Feature Request] Preview curves
Dec 23, 2021
This is quite the feature. It would necessarily change all the logic of the app, which imo, is lots of work and will cost lots of cycles, yet it will be rewarding.
