Add browser extensions with auto-fill mechanism #541
Comments
Thanks for putting this on the roadmap. I just came across this project and I am excited about its future. May I suggest that you consider adding support for storing Credit Cards, Shipping addresses (associated with cards) and have native support for handling payment forms as well as the login forms you are planning to use? This project has the potential to replace bitwarden for me and it would be nice to have one-to-rule-them-all solution using AliasVault. |
@TheLinuxGuy thanks for your input! That sounds like a good idea, certainly worth to investigate how payment info autofill could be implemented while work on the browser extension is being done. Just for my information in your particular usecase, do you have one primary creditcard that you use for multiple services or do you use a service that provides prepaid/temporary creditcards? Reason I'm asking is because where I'm from (The Netherlands) creditcards do not see widespread use in online payments, so I would love to learn more about the specific usecases that AliasVault should support. |
In order to improve the usability of AliasVault we want to create a browser extension that supports auto-filling login and signup forms.
Current user statistics show about 40% Chrome and 40% Firefox usage, so those two browsers are the first target platforms.
