Hi Laurence, thanks for your amazing project 🙌🙌🙌🙌. The organizing by vendor is amazing, but I still want to do something more.
I want to organize them by their function (into a new folder), like for example:
By Vendor
By Function
Compressor
Reverb
Delay
etc.
I checked the code and the .nfo files, and no parameter specifies its function, unfortunately. But if there are any solutions, I would like to support this project. One more time, thanks for your effort, this made my plugin database look so nicee

Thanks for your thanks, and the suggestion, @dathtd119! 🙂
I agree. I think it could be possible if this tool included a "lookup file", which mapped plugins (by name, or file name, or whatever) to a descriptive "function". To start with, you could just edit the lookup file yourself, adding your own plugins. But perhaps in the future, this tool could include a populated lookup file, which I could produce by scraping an existing site like KVR Audio.
I believe VST3 plugins have a "category" and "sub-category", so there's slightly more info in the .NFO files. Next time I'm on my music-making PC, I'll grab an example. Maybe this tool could use them somehow? But it'd be nice to support all plugin types, not just VST3.
