This does not seem to work anywhere. The steemit wallet, v2 steemconnect, and now the desktop app, none of them will let me take these apps offmy account!

Did you imported your active key on the keychain to do this operation?

I have the same exact problem if using the desktop version.

And yes, using the correct key (in this case the active). I am running Windows 10.

What version of the desktop app are you using? You can see current version when you click on "About" footer link

I too am getting this error on desktop app. It was working fine yesterday, but after depositing some STEEM from binance to my steemwallet, I changed my keys as the nobelbot suggested I did as my memo key was now public. Now steemconnect gives me this error. I'm assuming that was the cause. I can still use it via the steemconnect website instead, but would rather use the desktop app. Using latest version of the app.

I'm having the exact same problem. Here's a video walkthrough of my error. I'm on macOS Catalina using 0.14.0. https://cl.ly/1b94cdb0cd5d

(The video will auto-delete in about a month.)
