X1C G12 / T14 G5 - RM520N-GL #42
Comments
Hello, Yeah, so for starters let's stick with the SIM subject. The note you pasted and I pasted below is back from June/July 2024. Aware of any updates to this, saying it was only supposed to take a "few months"?

At first, sorry I missed that text snipped! But as already mentioned, you're out of luck when you have a US operator. As there is mentioned for your specific card and device will be not any enablement be done as far as I understand. Your mentioned text is, I believe, meant for the Maybe @nitinexclusively does know more how to interpret the information. 😊

@lxwulf Thanks for your comments !
Still situation is same i.e FCC unlock is currently blocked for USA SIM due to carrier certification . As of now , we don't have timeplan as there are some concerns over carrier certification ! Thanks |
Should I be under the assumption that the RM520N-GL should be working in Linux at this point? The readme states that the device hasn't been implemented in the carrier networks yet but that was back in June 2024 or something. I just got a X1C G12 and also I'm testing on a T14 G5 with this modem in it and I'm getting a Network timeout error when trying to connect to a provider after installing the FCC fix from the lenovo drivers site (didn't try pulling the repo down from github yet).
I'm on Fedora 41.
