With Python 2 being sunset almost 5 years ago, I'm wondering if it would make more sense for this repo to be upgraded to Python 3? If so I'd like to help, but in its current state, upgrading to Py3 seems like it would make this a completely different codebase. I'm just wondering if you guys are committed to keeping this a Py2 codebase before I submit any PRs. Would like to hear your thoughts!
