If mariaDB v10.6.0 and v10.11.10 are both installed, they use the same data directory /data/mariadb rather than a different data directory for each version. If v10.11.10 is installed first and then v10.6.0 is installed, v10.6.0 will not work because of a file format from the newer version not being readable by an old version. I have to completely remove the /data/mariadb directory before installing, to get it to work.
mariaDB v11.4.4 and one of the other versions will exist together because v11.4.4 uses /data/mariadb-11.4 data directory.
