The GE 14289 (ZW3009) supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.

Overview

Put smart lighting control at your fingertips with the GE Z-Wave Plus Touch Sensing Dimmer. Control your lights with simple one touch dimming at the wall, by a mobile device from virtually anywhere, or by voice with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The GE Z-Wave Plus Touch Dimmer offers extremely smooth and precise dimming control to detect different gestures such touch, hold, and swipe. Tap anywhere on the capacitive touch sensor to turn lights on or off and slide your finger up or down to seamlessly and smoothly adjust the brightness level of dimmable lights. The GE Touch Dimmer remembers your last brightness setting and automatically returns your lights to that level when turned on again. On, off and brightness levels can also be controlled and scheduled from anywhere! Along with conveniently saving you time and energy costs, the GE Z-Wave dimmer switch can replace any existing light switch in your home, and can be used in 2-, 3- and 4-way applications. You may also coordinate the Z-Wave dimmer with your home’s decor using the included white and light almond touch pad. Experience the comfort of smart home automation with the GE Z-Wave Plus In-Wall Touch Sensing Smart Dimmer.

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The GE 14289 (ZW3009) supports 2 association groups.

Group 1: Lifeline

The Lifeline association group reports device status to a hub and is not designed to control other devices directly. When using the Lineline group with a hub, in most cases, only the lifeline group will need to be configured and normally the hub will perform this automatically during the device initialisation.

Association group 1 supports 5 nodes.

Group 2: Basic Set and is controlled with the local load.

Association group 2 supports 5 nodes.
