ZW4002 - ZWave |

This describes the Z-Wave device ZW4002, manufactured by Jasco Products with the thing type UID of ge_zw4002_00_000.
The device is in the category of HVAC, defining Air condition devices, Fans.
The ZW4002 supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.
Basic Operation
Note: Before starting, fan must be set to ‘HIGH’ position using pull chain. The connected fan can then be turned ON/OFF and adjust speed levels in two ways:
- Manually from the front panel rocker of the In-wall Fan Control
- Remotely with a Z-Wave controller
Manual Control
To turn the connected fan ON: Press and release the top of the rocker. Note: Fan will return to last speed setting of Fan Control. Default setting – HIGH.
To turn the fan OFF: Press and release the bottom of the rocker.
Adjust fan speed
To decrease fan speed: Press and hold lower rocker.
To increase fan speed: Press and hold upper rocker.
The LED indicator confirms fan speed settings by flashing patterns
- LOW – LED will blink every 2 seconds for 10 seconds
- MEDIUM – LED will blink every second for 10 seconds
- HIGH – LED will blink every half second for 10 seconds
Once the controller is ready to include your device, press and release the top or bottom of the smart fan control switch (rocker) to include it in the network.

The brightness channel allows to control the brightness of a light. It is also possible to switch the light on and off.
The switch_dimmer channel is of type switch_dimmer and supports the Dimmer item and is in the DimmableLight category.
The following table provides a summary of the 2 configuration parameters available in the ZW4002. Detailed information on each parameter can be found in the sections below.

Defines the behavior of the blue LED Default is Night Light mode where LED is on when switch is off. The following option values may be configured -:

The manufacturer defined default value is 0 (LED on when switch is OFF).
This parameter has the configuration ID config_3_1 and is of type INTEGER.
Invert the ON/OFF Switch State Setting this parameter to Yes will change the top of the switch to OFF and the bottom to ON.
Note: If you invert the switches and also install the product upside down, the load will now be control. The following option values may be configured -:

The manufacturer defined default value is 0 (No).
This parameter has the configuration ID config_4_1 and is of type INTEGER.
Set the mode for the switch when receiving SWITCH ALL commands.

This parameter has the configuration ID switchall_mode and is of type INTEGER.
Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.
The ZW4002 supports 3 association groups.
The Lifeline association group reports device status to a hub and is not designed to control other devices directly. When using the Lineline group with a hub, in most cases, only the lifeline group will need to be configured and normally the hub will perform this automatically during the device initialisation. Association group 1 supports 5 nodes.
Supports Basic Set and is controlled with the local load
Association group 2 supports 5 nodes.
Supports Basic Set and is controlled by double pressing the On or Off button
