FS20Z - ZWave

FS20Z Isolated Contact Fixture Module

This describes the Z-Wave device FS20Z, manufactured by Linear Corp with the thing type UID of linear_fs20z_00_000.

The device is in the category of Wall Switch, defining Any device attached to the wall that controls a binary status of something, for ex. a light switch.

The FS20Z supports routing. This allows the device to communicate using other routing enabled devices as intermediate routers. This device is also able to participate in the routing of data between other devices in the mesh network.

Inclusion Information

  1. Prepare the Controller to include a unit to the network, by adding it to a group (method of adding a node to the network). Refer to Controller instructions.
  2. The FS20Z-1 must be in its permanently installed location. Press the button on the FS20Z-1 once.
  3. You should see an indication on your Controller that the “DEVICE WAS INCLUDED” in the network.

Exclusion Information

Remove the module by tapping the button three times, then press and hold.

Switch

Switch the power on and off.

The switch_binary channel is of type switch_binary and supports the Switch item and is in the Switch category.

Device Configuration

The following table provides a summary of the 1 configuration parameters available in the FS20Z. Detailed information on each parameter can be found in the sections below.

Parameter 3: Night Light

Nightlight: LED turns ON when the switch is turned OFF In night-light mode the LED on the switch will turn ON when the switch is turned OFF. The following option values may be configured -:

The manufacturer defined default value is 1 (Yes).

This parameter has the configuration ID config_3_1 and is of type INTEGER.

Association Groups

Association groups allow the device to send unsolicited reports to the controller, or other devices in the network. Using association groups can allow you to eliminate polling, providing instant feedback of a device state change without unnecessary network traffic.

The device does not support associations.
