Cross-posting from https://matrix.to/#/#libp2p-implementers:ipfs.io.
As communicated elsewhere, e.g. libp2p day 2023, the libp2p engineers in Protocol Labs’ Engineering and Research team are moving out of Protocol Labs Inc into their own entity. They will still be part of the broader Protocol Labs Network. In addition a libp2p foundation will come to life. Please see blog and video for more details.

I have decided not to join this new entity, and thus I will be leaving Protocol Labs Inc. and its larger network. My last day will be tomorrow, the 15th of December.
For now, I will take a 2 month reorientation break, reducing my involvement in (rust-) libp2p significantly. I am still available for security vulnerabilities and larger bug fixes, but won't be active as a maintainer. Within the next 2 months I will decide whether I will continue my work on (rust-) libp2p or move on. Once decided, I will give an update on the rust-libp2p repository and in #libp2p-implementers.
