Hi guys. I recently started configuring my retroarch. Through the website, access the information needed to get everything working. However, there are some more obscure video games that are not listed with instructions, such as:

AMSTRAD GX-4000
BALLY ARCADE
CASIO PV-1000
CASSETTE VIEW
PHILIPS CDI
CREATIVISION
FM TOWNS MARTY
SUPER ACAN

Could you add information about these systems specifically?
Because it is very complicated to find out for yourself where the error is. I don't find information on configuring these systems on the internet.

All of the systems listed above run through the MAME emulator. Unfortunately when adding a game from any of the video games shown above, retroarch does not tell us what type of bios is needed to run it. We are basically in the dark in this situation.
I tried several different cores but the result is always the same. The game does not start.

If you can add such configuration information as it exists for other systems, I would appreciate it very much.

something that could be added would be the possibility of, when choosing the MAME core, opening a new option to define which system we want to emulate using the mame. example: I choose core MAME. the option arises to choose whether to specifically emulate gx4000 or Intelevison or FM towns MARTY. so when the retroarch understands that we want to emulate this specific system it will allow showing to the left side of the menu which are the necessary bios to run it.

This is how FBNeo works, but it requires digging into the core more than we care to do with mame-current.

It could potentially work for one of the mame snapshot cores, but it would result in a huge menu that lists all of the different possible platforms, and I don't think that would be good, either.

But these new systems don't have to be on the menu in RetroArch, as it would really be gigantic and messy.

We would see this possibility of configuration when entering the menu "Show Desktop Menu"
This new option would be just above the "DATA BASE" option

In short:
We chose MAME
we chose the specific system (Ex: GX-4000)
we chose the database.

EXCUSE THE HALF DRAWING DESIGN attached. It was just to give you an idea.
