For the scheduler-api setup, students on ubuntu21.04 are likely to encounter this issue where they cannot get the node-postgres library / client to work with the database inside their vagrant VM (which I believe is ubuntu16). The workaround was to create the database on the host machine.
I can confirm the above^ based on my lengthy debugging process and the fact that I have 2 students having the identical issue.
It would be beneficial if we capture this as part of the scheduler-api setup instructions and/or provide alternative solutions (e.g. docker image). Let me know what you think. Thanks.
