Clean Ubuntu 22.04 , the installation instructions just don't work

I've tried to install Porter a few times today on clean Ubuntu 22.04 and I just can't get it to work.

1. composer global require "linc/nitro-porter" install porter in folder _~/.config/composer/vendor/linc/nitro-porter_
2. composer global install - this does nothing because compose yml not exist
3. porter --help returns Command 'porter' not found

I see a lot of people have a similar problem...can you please update the installation instructions (specially on the linux platform as I believe it is mostly used for hosting the forums), including how to get version 3.3 installed?

After some earlier issue I now also run into this problem.
This is on a Mac M1.

1. composer global require "linc/nitro-porter" installs nitro porter in ~/.composer/vendor/linc/nitro-porter
2. composer global install —> Terminal response: Nothing to install, update or remove
3. porter --help or just porter —> Terminal responsecommand not found: porter

Wish this was an easy fix. Same situation as @fretzl on my Mac M2, composer 2.8.4, php 8.4.1 installed with home-brew. On my Mac, composer global require installed nitro-porter v2.5. I then ran composer remove and composer require linc/nitro-porter:3.3 which failed, but revealed conflicts with another installed package. I also reverted php to 8.1. Several other changes later finally got it working.

Hey folks, thanks for reporting this. I didn't detect this because I'm always running it from my local repo.

I have released 3.4.1 just now, which contains this fix. composer global update should get it.

I've now also updated the guide to remove the redundant 'install' command and instead note you need Composer in your PATH (linked to instructions).
